RECOMMENDATION: No objection to the issuance of permit for the installation of a wood board fence, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2008. Note: Because the application is pending final zoning review, any subsequent modifications to the approved design must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval.

RECOMMENDATION: Recommend AGAINST the issuance of permit for the proposed replacement windows. Submitted materials are insufficient for permit review. File new submission including detailed drawings with dimensions and photographs of existing windows. Other exterior alterations, as shown on drawings received and dated 7 July 2008, will need to be submitted for review. Refer to the Historic Preservation Review Board.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to the issuance of permit for a small rear addition at the fourth floor level for an elevator penthouse and roof deck, a raised terrace with an arbor at the first floor level in the rear yard, and other alterations, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2008. Design conforms to previously approved concept design (see case number S.L. 08-079). Note: Because the application is pending final zoning review, any subsequent modifications to the approved design must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval. RECOMMENDATION: Returned without comment. The property at 350 G Street, S.W. (Square 540, Lot 2349) is outside the jurisdiction of the Commission of Fine Arts and therefore not subject to review.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to the issuance of permit for replacement windows with full divided lights grinds to replicate the existing windows and retain original brick mould, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2008. RECOMMENDATION: No objection to the issuance of permit for a new sign at the corner of 27th and Military Road and for a new fence along Military Road between Oregon Avenue and 27th Street, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2008. RECOMMENDATION: No objection to the issuance of permit for the installation of a new rear shed dormer and for small dormers on sides of roof, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2008. RECOMMENDATION: No objection to the issuance of permit for canvas awnings with 6 inch alternating blue and natural colored stripes and solid blue colored valances, some with white lettering, on the windows on the first two floors of the Pennsylvania Avenue facade and on the lower windows of the 14th Street facade, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2008. Design conforms to previously approved concept design (see case number S.L. 08-095).
