RECOMMENDATION: No objection to proposed 8-ft high vinyl coated chain link fence to enclose two outdoor storage areas at the Washington Canoe Club to open the river shore to public access. Recommend section of fence in front of the building on the riverside be deleted and the fence terminated at the building corners for unobstructed view of facade. Refer to the Historic Preservation Review Board.

RECOMMENDATION: The Commission regrets that the trailer was installed prior to review and without a permit. No objection to issuance of permit for existing temporary trailer to be dismantled no later than August 2009. Recommend picket railing retro-fitted into historic cast iron railing be removed and replaced with rails and hardware cloth to match original. Request that all other additional work be submitted for review prior to starting construction. Refer to the Historic Preservation Review Board.
