RECOMMENDATION: The Commission regrets that various signs were installed without review or permit. No objection to issuance of permit for proposed sign composed of red and green pin-mounted non-illuminated letters reading "Ice Berry" on fascia of M Street storefront ONLY as shown in supplemental drawings dated 18 February 2009. Sign on 30th St. window, LED back-lighting and awnings, which were not approved, were deleted from this permit application. Existing signs, blade signs, brackets, neon sign behind the glass, and light fixtures with exposed conduits on facades of this individually designated historic landmark building are not appropriate and must be removed no later than 31 March 2009. Note is made that the Foundation for the Preservation of Historic Georgetown holds an easement on this property. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the exterior design made during DCRA technical review must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit.
