RECOMMENDATION: No objection to the final plans for the installation of a sculpture by artist Craig Kraft on the grounds of the new Watha T. Daniel (Shaw) Neighborhood Library, as shown in materials received and dated 2 September 2009. As per the Commission's previous recommendation, it is understood that the artist, the building design team, and the DC Public Library, in consultation with neighborhood groups, have endorsed the proposed location for the sculpture at the corner of R Street and Rhode Island Avenue.
