RECOMMENDATION: The Commission regrets that the awning, signs, light fixtures, rear portal and gate, fence and alterations to the rear were installed prior to review or permit. No objection to concept design for proposed alterations to storefront, sign scheme composed of lettering reading Little Viet Garden back–lit and pin–mounted to cornice as shown in Alternate Option on supplemental drawings dates 1 December 2011 which includes fabric awnings within the openings and sconce down lights. No objection to concept design for proposed alterations to rear, including low metal fence and gate as shown in supplemental drawings dated 22 November 2011. Recommend down–light fixtures at rear terrace and a solid metal guard at base of fence. Single awning covering architectural features on facade, sign scheme, light fixtures with exposed conduits, neon signs, and new features constructed of wood at the rear were not approved and must be removed as part of the scope of this design. File new submission of working drawings, including details, dimensions and cut–sheets, with permit application no later than the deadline of 12 January 2012 for review by the Commission.
