RECOMMENDATION: No objection to issuance of permit for two proposed awnings above storefronts with entry doors and for proposed sign scheme composed of lettering limited only to the valance reading "Comfort One Shoes" and "Mephisto" as shown in supplemental drawings dated 16 February 2012 which indicate all attachments of the awning frame at the wood fascia of the storefront and no attachments to the wall through the metal panels. The awning at the center storefront and the perforations through the metal panels were not approved and were deleted from this permit application. No objection to the issuance of the permit for the replacement roof due to the limited availability of terne roof and that other houses of the similar age in the immediate neighborhood already have asphalt shingle roofs. Recommend gutters, fans and vents are painted flat black.
