A Visual History of the National Mall

On January 10, 2012, Thomas Luebke, Secretary of the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts, gave a presentation on the history of the National Mall as part of a briefing held at the National Capital Planning Commission for the design firms competing in the National Mall Design Competition. The competition to redesign three significant spaces within the National Mall landscape is sponsored by the Trust for the National Mall.
