Mary Oehrlein, FAIA, ChairMary Oehrlein is the sole proprietor of Oehrlein & Associates Architects, Washington, DC, an architectural firm that specializes in historic preservation. Previously she was director of the Washington office for the Ehrenkrantz Group, Vice President of Building Conservation Technology and a staff architect with Historic American Buildings Survey. Ms. Oehrlein has served on the Boards of Directors for the DC Preservation League, Construction Specification Institute, DC Chapter American Institute of Architects, HABS/HAER Foundation, the Octagon Foundation and Cosmos Club Historic Preservation Foundation. She co-founded the DC chapter of the Association for Preservation Technology in 1984 and the Washington Architectural Forum in 1989. Ms. Oehrlein was elected to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in 1990 and has served as President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Chair of the Fellowship Nominations Committee for the AIA Washington chapter.
