Dear Mr. Albert:

In its meeting of 15 May, the Commission of Fine Arts approved the final design of the Deanwood Community Center, including a recreation center and public library, to be located at 49th and Quarles Streets, NE. The Commission members expressed appreciation for the thoughtful selection of materials, the environmentally efficient design features, and the inclusion of a wide range of community amenities and programs within a single facility.

As there was not a quorum during the review of this project, the Commission's recommendation will be placed on the agenda for ratification at its meeting of 19 June. As always, the staff is available to assist you in future submissions.

Sincerely,

Thomas E. Luebke, AIA
