The Commission of Fine Arts appreciated the information presentation on the D.C. Department of Transportation's forthcoming SmartBike program. The Commission members commented favorably on the deployment of this program as well as the effort to address the need for alternative methods of transportation in the city. Because some of the SmartBike racks will be installed in Georgetown, the Commission anticipates providing a more detailed design recommendation in response to your forthcoming submission to the Old Georgetown Board.
The Commission will be pleased to assist as you develop this and other projects for improving the District of Columbia.
