Dear Mr. McGill:

At its meeting of 17 May, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed the proposed relocation of the childcare playground and the sculpture by Tony Smith at the Frances C. Perkins Building, headquarters of the Department of Labor, at 200 Constitution Avenue, NW. The Commission approved the relocation and the plan of the new playground on the east terrace along with the new location of the sculpture, titled She Who Must be Obeyed, on the southern portion of the building's west lawn. The Commission recommended that the color of the playground equipment be selected from the "nature" color scheme, featuring green and tan materials, as presented in the product literature.

The Commission members expressed their support for GSA's restoration and refurbishment of the sculpture. Please consult with the staff if there are any changes to the approved design or if you have any additional questions.

Sincerely,

/s/
