Dear Mr. Peterson:

In its meeting of 18 April, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed alternative designs for a Congressional Gold Medal in accordance with the Code Talkers Recognition Act of 2008; this medal, the twelfth in the series, will honor the Muscogee Creek Tribe.

For the obverse, the Commission recommended alternative #1 due to the superior legibility of the design elements and the near–profile pose of the central figure. For the reverse, the Commission recommended alternative #3, consistent with the tribe's preference, as the best design.

As always, the staff is available to assist you with future submissions.

Sincerely,

/s/Thomas E. Luebke, FAIA
