Letter

Dear Mr. Lawler:

Thank you for the information presentation at our meeting of 21 July 2005 on the American Veterans Disabled for LIFE Memorial regarding the progress of sculptural elements and the overall scheme for the quotations. In general, the Commission members were very encouraged by the direction taken by the design team. They noted several issues that may require further study, such as the relationship of the inscriptions to the sculptures, the hierarchy of the elements in relation to each other, and the complexity of the memorial as a whole.

The Commission looks forward to seeing further refinements of the memorial's design at a full concept review later this year. As always, the Commission staff is available should you require further guidance.

Sincerely,

/s/Thomas Luebke, AIA
