Letter

Dear Mr. Lawler:

In its meeting of 21 June, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed and approved the revised concept design for the pergola, benches, and river stairs at the Wisconsin Avenue Terminus under Phase II of the Georgetown Waterfront Park. In their discussion of the revisions, the Commission members supported the undulating form of the trellis and the arrangement of the benches as proposed; they preferred the darker color alternative for the pergola.

The Commission looks forward to the review of final design and construction details for the granite overlooks (the last remaining feature of Phase I) and for the Wisconsin Avenue plaza and all other elements of Phase II at your earliest convenience. As always, the staff is available to assist you.

Sincerely,

/s/
