Letter

Dear Mr. McGill:

During its 21 September 2004 meeting, the Commission reviewed and approved the submission for the first phase of the project to modernize and provide security upgrades for the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, Pennsylvania Avenue and 17th Street, NW. The members found the detailing of the replacement blast-resistant windows improved from the concept schemes presented last year, as they more closely emulated the historic exterior configuration of the windows.

We look forward to further review of next phases of the project in the future. As always, the staff is available to assist you and the design team.

Sincerely,

/s/Frederick J. Lindstrom
Acting Secretary
