No objection to concept design for removal of stucco to expose original wood siding. Recommend AGAINST replacement of wood windows on front facade, which must be repaired - recommend use of storm windows. Recommend AGAINST concept of installing slate or flagstone on front stairs - recommend repair and or reconstruction of brick stairs with a square corner at first step. No objection to concept design for replacement of entry door with a four panel wood door and for new light fixture. Recommend operable wood shutters sized appropriately to cover window when closed. Recommend removal of stucco for exploratory evaluation of existing siding prior to continuing work. File new submission of documentation of findings and proposed treatment for existing or new wood siding with a permit application for review by the Commission.
