No objection to concept design for proposed landscaping of rear yard with retaining walls, fountain and terrace, or for proposed iron fence along 28th Street and on north side yard. Cedar fence to screen condensers was NOT approved. Generator and condensers are to be installed on roof as per previous approved alterations to roof (see case OG 07-066). File new submission of working drawings, including dimensions, details and accurate topographical plan, with permit application for review by the Commission when ready.

Recommend AGAINST concept design for proposed alterations, including awnings at second and third floors, removal of transom window, projecting sign, covering of wood storefront with metal panels and brass rivets, and painting of original brick walls of this contributing historic building. Recommend placement of sign on previously approved storefront (see case OG 06-280).

No objection to general concept design for enclosure of out-door seating area under trellis for Neyla PROVIDED all non-conforming work is brought into compliance prior to submission for permit review.

Although submitted materials indicate that the proposed swimming pool, terrace and fence will not be visible from public thoroughfare, the impact of this construction on the character of the interior of the block as seen from 29th Street will be reduced by the installation of the in-ground tree and the proposed landscaping, an integral part of the project that must be completed at the same time.
