Recommendation
No objection to issuance of permit for proposed alterations to rear openings and new decks as shown in supplemental drawings dated 2 May 2014 which indicate metal window and door system rather than clad windows and doors. Proposed new awning at third floor was not approved and was deleted from this permit application. No objection to issuance of permit for proposed replacement of windows on street facade of this 1952 building with Pella Architect Series all–wood double–hung insulated windows with 7/8 inch simulated divided lite wood muntins with spacer bar. Recommend true paneled door to replace front door — the attachment of mouldings to front door is not appropriate, was not approved and was crossed out on drawings. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be re–submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit.
