Resumption of Agency Operations

The U.S. Commission of Fine Arts has reopened as of 28 January 2019. The following information details the status of submitted projects and when they are likely to be reviewed by the Old Georgetown Board (OGB) and Commission of Fine Arts (CFA). Please note that the regular receipt and review of projects was suspended during the funding lapse.

Staff will respond to inquiries received during the funding lapse as it begins the process of resuming agency operations. Please call (202) 504-2200 or email cfastaff@cfa.gov for additional information.

Project Review

Government
Federal and D.C. government projects submitted for CFA review prior to the 7 February 2019 filing deadline (including projects submitted for the cancelled January meeting) will be reviewed by the CFA at its 21 February 2019 meeting, pending staff evaluation of individual submissions; the agenda will be posted on 15 February 2019 at www.cfa.gov.

Shipstead-Luce Act
Shipstead-Luce Act projects submitted for CFA review prior to the 7 February 2019 filing deadline (including projects submitted for the cancelled January meeting) will be reviewed by the CFA at its 21 February 2019 meeting, pending staff evaluation of individual submissions; the agenda will be posted on 15 February 2019 at www.cfa.gov.

Old Georgetown Act
Old Georgetown Act projects submitted for OGB review prior to the 17 January 2019 filing deadline (including projects submitted for the cancelled January meeting) will be reviewed by the OGB at its 7 February 2019 meeting, pending staff evaluation of individual submissions; the agenda will be posted on 4 February 2019 at www.cfa.gov.
