Recommendation

No objection to the revised concept for the in-kind replacement of a cedar shingle roof, a new roof access hatch at the rear, and the removal of a non-historic plywood balustrade, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2025, pending the receipt of supplemental materials. Previously proposed standing seam copper roof has been replaced with cedar shingle roof to comply with the request of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Refer to the National Trust for Historic Preservation for historic easement. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office. Note: This is a concept approval only. When ready, submit the permit drawings and a permit application to DOB for review by the Commission.
