Dear Mr. Earle:
During its meeting of 16 October, the Commission reviewed and approved the designs for the security improvements to the 0 Street gate to the Washington Navy Yard. The design for the new security barriers and gates, with the three guard booths, is compatible with other recent security. improvements found at other gates to the Yard. The accompanying rehabilitation of the nearby historic building #126 for a visitor processing facility makes good use of existing resources. The implementation of the project will enhance this entrance to the Yard.
