Dear Mr. Jeppson:
In its meeting of 17 March, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed alternative designs for the 2017 High Relief 24-Karat Gold $100 coin and the associated silver medal. Consistent with the preference of the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee, the Commission members recommended obverse #8 and reverse #1, commenting that this obverse design is most expressive of the intended depiction of diversity for this collector’s item.
