Dear Ms. Franklin-Kelly:

During its meeting of 19 February 2004, the Commission reviewed and approved the final design for the new community center to be located at 15"' and Girard Streets, NW. However, reconstruction of a historic facade remnant will not improve the quality of the design and should be seriously reconsidered.

The Commission looks forward to review of other projects for the District of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department.
