Letter

Dear Mr. Lawler:

In its meeting of 19 June, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed the final design and material samples for the second phase of the Georgetown Waterfront Park, the Wisconsin Avenue Terminus. The Commission complimented the project team on the thoroughness of the design which included the plaza, fountain, pergolas, granite benches, stepped bulkhead, paving materials, and landscaping.

The Commission approved the design with the recommendations that larger shade tree species be specified for planting along the paths and near the fountain plaza, and that the metal tables between the benches underneath the pergola be eliminated as requested by the Old Georgetown Board.

Sincerely,

/s/Thomas E. Luebke, AIA
