Dear Mr. Jeppson:
In its meeting of 19 March, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed alternative designs for a Congressional Gold Medal to honor the Rosebud Sioux Tribe as part of the ongoing series of medals issued in accordance with the Code Talkers Recognition Act of 2008. Consistent with the preferences of the tribal liaison and the Mint's Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee, the Commission recommended obverse #1 and reverse #1 for the design of this medal.
