The Commission regrets that the awning and signs were installed prior to review or permit. Recommend AGAINST issuance of permit for existing awning and signs which are not appropriate to the character of the historic building and must be removed, as well as the decals on windows no later than 30 November 2010. File new submission of dimensioned and detailed drawings for woven fabric shed awning with lettering reading Thunder Burger and Bar limited to the 12-inch-high valance and one menu box only. Note: existing light fixtures illuminating the facade were not approved and must be removed no later than 30 November 2010. Recommend paint over pickled brick on first floor storefront, which, as existing, is not appropriate to the historic building and district.
