Alterations, dormers, partial demolition
No objection to issuance of permit for proposed alterations to the front, including two new dormers to match those at 1511 33rd St with single-glazed all-wood double-hung windows, replacement of standing seam metal roof with terne roof to match detailing of existing roof, removal of door surround and replacement with new transom lite, relocation of one basement window, new wood shutters on first floor windows, new light fixture and new metal gate on side of front stoop; and for proposed alterations to the rear, including in-fill at basement level, partial demolition of two-story porch enclosure, two new dormers to match existing with double-glazed all-wood double-hung windows, replacement wood railing on terrace, new single glazed window on third floor to match existing, light fixtures and 7-ft high wood stained fence, as shown in supplemental drawings dated 24 May and 20 June 2012, PROVIDED shutters are operable, seams on new roof are hand crimped, roof vents are limited to the rear and painted to match color of roof, spacing of pickets in railing match width of pickets and half-screens are used. Electric meter and mechanical equipment must not be visible from public thoroughfare. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the exterior design made during DCRA technical review must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit.
