Recommendation
No objection to issuance of permit for proposed alterations, including, on front facade: replacement of window sashes with all–wood 1/1 window sashes and replacement of entry doors with four panel wood doors, which are more historically appropriate for the 1892 buildings in this row; and on rear elevation: new window and door openings, with stairs to the rear yard, as shown in supplemental drawings dated 4 June 2014 which indicate rear doors without muntins divisions. New light fixture at rear to shine down only. Existing wood frames and brick mould on windows on front facade will be retained and repaired. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be re–submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit.
