The Commission regrets that roof work was begun, masonry was demolished and new wall construction was built with non-compatible brick, and windows were removed without review or permit at this mid-19th-century contributing property. No objection to issuance of permit for: removal of existing roof terraces, new copper roofs with 1-inch hand-crimped standing seams on main residence, hyphen, and garage; demolition of two brick chimneys and re-construction of chimneys replicating all dimensions to match original using salvaged brick and 1/2"-thick lime-based mortar, struck cleanly, per supplemental drawings received 14 October 2016. Note all new roof terrace work was not approved and was deleted from this permit application. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval prior to the issuance of a permit.
