No objection to issuance of permit to construct a three-story addition behind the synagogue connecting three existing buildings at 2801 N Street NW, 2803 N Street NW, and 1308 28th Street NW, per supplemental materials received 6 July 2026, which per the Old Georgetown Board's direction do not include bollards; confirm the rooftop mechanical equipment would not be visible from public space; clarifies how the paint would be removed from the 2803 N Street and 1308 28th Street with nonabrasive methods; notes that mortar analysis would be completed on the three historic masonry buildings to guide the repointing; indicates the new and replacement windows on the west elevation of 2803 N Street would be all wood and true-divided lite with clear glass and no low-emissivity coating and the new openings would follow the existing brick coursing; notes the brick sills of the basement windows at 2803 N Street would be retained and infilled with brick; and includes a revised design for the basement door at the south elevation of 2803 N Street, PROVIDED the exterior color and material samples are delivered to Commission offices. No bollards are included in this application and must be reviewed as part of a separate application. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DOB technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval prior to the issuance of a permit.
