Recommendation

No objection to the issuance of permit for the installation of new storefront frame including automatic doors to replace existing and a new awing as shown in materials received and dated 17 March 2008. Recommend AGAINST the issuance of permit for the installation of illuminated sign with 24-inch tall lettering. Total square footage of all signs, including lettering on awing, exceeds the 25 square-foot limit. Letter height on new sign should be no more than 12 inches or the existing sign should remain. Note: Because the application is pending final zoning review, any subsequent modifications to the approved design must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval.
