Dear Mr. and Ms. Caldwell:
In its public meeting of 16 November conducted by videoconference, the Commission of Fine Arts approved, based on its prior review of the submission materials, a concept submission for the renovation of and additions to a singlefamily house located at 4660 Broad Branch Road, NW (case number SL 24-037). In its approval action, the Commission strongly recommended that the design be further developed, particularly where the house faces Rock Creek Park, to resolve how each massing element relates to the larger composition. The Commission emphasized that the design of the house should be of the highest quality, commensurate with its location facing federal parkland.
Please consult with the staff for the refinement of the design and the preparation of a permit submission. As always, the staff is available to assist you.
