Recommend AGAINST the issuance of a permit for the installation of a new face-lit sign with translucent faces for Peruvian Brothers on the east facade of an existing building; internally illuminated signs are not permitted under the DC sign regulations for the Shipstead-Luce Act area. Forward a new submission for a sign that conforms with the regulations when ready. No objection to the issuance of a permit for the installation of a new egress door on the west facade facing a courtyard, and for the installation of a vinyl door graphic for Peruvian Brothers on the east facade of an existing building, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2025, pending the receipt of supplemental materials.
