Consent Calendar: CFA Meeting — 18 May 2023

No objection to the concept design for the renovation of six officers quarters and the reconstruction of four residential garages in the Fort Myer Historic District, per materials received 27 April 2023, PROVIDED additional documentation of the proposed garages and the ramp at Quarters 6 is submitted for consideration before a final submission. Scope includes the renovation of Quarters 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8 and the demolition and replacement-in-kind of four garages associated with the Quarters. Renovations will include foundation repair, waterproofing, HVAC improvements, installation of fire suppression systems, interior renovations, window replacement, masonry repair, and repointing and roof repair as needed. No objection to the final design for 15 new antennas to be attached to the penthouse and 27 remote radio heads, per materials received 4 April 2023, PROVIDED that antennas not be located behind a stealth enclosure are painted to match the building penthouse and are not mounted on or visible above the penthouse roof.

No objection to the final design for a new ~16' rooftop whip antenna mounted on an existing mast, per materials received 4 April 2023. The antenna will support operations of the Smithsonian Institution's Office of Protection Services.

No objection to the final design for the installation of a temporary animal holding area for the flamingo exhibit, per materials received 4 May 2023. This area will house the flamingos while the approved netting project (16/FEB/23-c), is installed. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the final design for the installation of a new public restroom facility, as shown in materials received 4 May 2023. Scope of work includes the assembly of a steel tube frame enclosed with stainless steel panels and anchored to a new 10'-x-6' concrete pad. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection the final design for the installation of a 10'-tall powder coated aluminum enclosure for the proposed mechanical equipment on the roof the existing school, per materials received 4 May 2023. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.
