Dear Lt. Cinq Mars:
The staff of the Commission of Fine Arts has reviewed the final submission for a new six-story housing and support facility (P-158) at the Marine Barracks Washington Annex, located at 7th and L Street, SE. The staff has no objections to the final design for this project.
With the authority delegated by the Commission at its meeting of 21 September 2023, we approve the final plans for the project, as documented in the materials received and dated 1 February 2024, which has introduced two rows of trees north of the proposed building, in response to the Commission’s recommendation.
As always, the staff is available to assist you with future submissions.
