Recommendation

No objection to the installation of wayfinding, trail markers, and interpretive signs for the portion of the Star−Spangled Banner National Historic Trail in the District of Columbia, and no objection to the installation of interpretive wayside signs in the garden of Dumbarton House and to replace the plaque mounted on the fence at Tudor Place, as shown in drawings dated 16 April 2014. No objection to installation of wayfinding signs on lampposts on M Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, provided that, to minimize visual clutter, signs are mounted at a consistent height and to enhance visibility of the new signs, the number of objects on lampposts (including signs, banners, and flower baskets) is reduced by the number of new signs. Project reviewed by the Old Georgetown Board at its 1 May 2014 meeting.
