Dear Mr. Ryder:

In its public meeting of 17 June conducted by videoconference, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed design alternatives for the remaining three reverse designs in the American Women Quarter Dollar Coin Program for issue in 2022. The Commission provided the following advice and recommendations.

Wilma Mankiller. Consistent with the preferences of Ms. Mankiller’s
family and the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee, the Commission recommended alternative WM-01B.

Adelina Otero-Warren. Consistent with the preferences of Ms. Otero-
Warren’s family and the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee, the Commission recommended alternative AOW-03, with the understanding
that her first name would be rendered as “Nina” at the family’s request.

Anna May Wong. Consistent with the preferences of Ms. Wong’s family,
the Commission recommended alternative AMW-10, citing the compelling close-up depiction of Wong’s face and the avoidance of an orientalized stereotype for her portrait in the design.

As always, the staff is available to assist you with future submissions.

Sincerely,
/s/Thomas E. Luebke, FAIA
