Letter

Dear Mr. Hoskins:

In its meeting of 17 May, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed and approved the revised concept design for a new mixed–use building proposed by EastBanc and the D.C. Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development to be located on Square 50 at 23rd and M Streets, NW. The Commission members expressed appreciation for the design team's response to their previous advice to make the building's facades less institutional in character and more expressive of the residential use on the upper floors.

The Commission looks forward to review of the final submission. As always, the staff is available to assist you.

Sincerely,

/s/Thomas E. Luebke, FAIA
