No objection to issuance of permit for proposed repair work in coordination with waterproofing work as shown in supplemental drawings dated 20 July 2012 which reduce the scope of the proposed work. Existing brick must be salvaged and re-used on exterior face of building and on plaza. Mortar must match existing original mortar. Submit sample of mortar and replacement brick for review by the Commission. Proposed alterations to existing balcony railings were not approved and were deleted from this permit application. Recommend retention and repair of existing balcony railings. Recommend retention of existing landscape plan with birch trees in planters. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the exterior design, including handrail details, made during DCRA technical review must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit.
