Recommendation
No objection to the issuance of the permit for replacing wood and metal fence on public space with a new wood and metal fence as shown in supplemental drawings dated 10 June 2014, which indicate wood pickets match dimensions and profile of original pickets. Recommend that the pickets be attached to the framing from behind so that screws won't be visible. Although there is no objection to the concept of replacing the historic wood gate on side yard with a replica mahogany wood gate to match dimensions and detailing of existing boards and re–using salvaged hammered metalwork, this item has been deleted from the scope of work on this permit application and will be filed for review separately. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be re–submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit.
