The Commission regrets that the applicant did not follow the direction of the Board to return with a plan that would include mitigation for the irreparable damage to exterior surfaces on free-standing 1898 brick residence caused by destructive removal of synthetic stucco. Recommend AGAINST issuance of permit for new garage roof and doors as proposed in drawings received 14 October 2016. Recommend applicant return with comprehensive plan to address the non-permitted work performed, including in addition to the stucco, the removal of original windows on all elevations, raising of main roof, and removal of historic balustrade at ridge. File new design development submission with concept application at DCRA with working drawings including details and dimensions, for review by the Commission.
