Dear Mr. Castellano:
In its public meeting of 21 September conducted by videoconference, the Commission of Fine Arts approved, based on its prior review of the submission materials, the concept submission for a new single-family house, proposed to be located at 2065 Trumbull Terrace, NW (case number SL 23-020). In its approval action, the Commission recommended that the landscape design be developed to increase the vegetated screening at the rear of the house, in order to reduce its visibility and maintain the character of the adjacent Rock Creek Park.
Please consult with the staff on the preparation of a permit submission that fully documents the design and demonstrates the house’s relationship to its context, including site, grading, and landscape plans. As always, the staff is available to assist you with the next submission.
