No objection to issuance of permit for proposed replacement of rooftop antennas for Sprint with one pole mounted installation screened by a 3 foot diameter stealth canister as shown in supplemental drawings dated December 2013 provided antennas are located as far north as possible, canister is painted light grey and RRH installation is located where it will not be visible from a public thoroughfare. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design made during DCRA Technical Review must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit.

Returned without Action. Concept submission was superseded by concept application under case OG 14-011.

No objection to concept design for new rear stucco addition at second floor and re-surfaced roof deck above first floor per drawings dated 20 November 2012, provide new roof is copper. File new submission at DCRA of working drawings, including dimensions and details, with application for review by the Commission.

No objection to issuance of permit for proposed alterations, including replacement of windows on west facade with all-wood insulated windows with simulated divided light muntins to match profile, dimensions and configuration of existing windows, new windows to replace louvers on first floor openings, replacement wood garage door to match existing, and replacement of doors on arched opening on M Street with glass inserts to match existing configuration as shown in supplemental drawings dated 5 December 2013 which indicate wood rather than aluminum storefront system. Refer repointing and repair of terracotta to the Historic Preservation Review Board. Note: any modification of the approved design during DCRA Technical Review must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of the permit.

Returned without Action. Permit application for signs was duplicate submission and was withdrawn at the written request of applicant.

No objection to concept design for proposed replacement of cooling towers and new 7 foot tall green screen. Recommend cooling towers and retaining walls be as low as possible and areaway be kept to the minimum footprint. File new submission at DCRA of construction drawings, including details and dimensions with permit application for review by the Commission.

No objection to issuance of permit for proposed removal of composite siding to expose historic siding underneath. File new submission at DCRA indicating areas of historic wood siding to be removed and detailed dimensions of new siding, trim, and shutters.

No objection to issuance of permit to remove existing asphalt shingles and two bubble skylights and install new CertainTeed asphalt shingles in 'Georgetown Gray' and two fixed, flat skylights to match existing framing opening per submission materials dated 15 and 26 November 2013. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design made during DCRA Technical Review must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit.

Returned without Action. Submission materials and a site visit on 18 November 2013 indicate that proposed fenestration alterations at rear and side will not be visible from a public thoroughfare. Refer to Historic Preservation Review Board.

No objection to issuance of permit for new storefront with metal panels, fixed show window on side wall, and pin-mounted edge-lit letters no taller than 12-inches and vinyl lettering at 2 1/2"-tall on show windows per drawings 25 November 2013. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design made during DCRA Technical Review must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit.

No objection to issuance of permit for proposed alterations, including brick wall, wood gate, stone terrace on a permeable sand base and a lawn panel on rear yard, replacement 7 feet high wood fence and screened gazebo with standing seam copper roof as shown in supplemental drawings dated 13 December 2013. All wood to be painted or stained with an opaque stain. Note: any modification of the approved design during DCRA Technical Review must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of the permit.

No objection to issuance of permit for proposed alterations to side yard, including re-grading, brick wall no taller than 7 feet, planting bed and stairs as shown in supplemental drawings dated 13 December 2013. The existing historic metal gate will be repaired. Note: Any modification of the approved design during DCRA Technical Review must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of the permit.

No objection to concept design for window and door alterations at Victorian residence and former carriage house per drawings dated 22 November 2012. File new submission at DCRA of working drawings, including dimensions and details, with application for review by the Commission.

No objection to issuance of permit for removal of all existing mechanical equipment and steel on roof and installation of new HVAC equipment on roof that will not be visible from a public thoroughfare per drawings dated 22 November 2013. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design made during DCRA Technical Review must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit.

No objection to issuance of permit for reconfiguration of driveway, new walkway and for removal of existing concrete driveway as shown in supplemental drawings dated 13 December 2013 which indicate a 12 foot wide pea gravel driveway including an 18 inch wide limestone border. No objection to issuance of Public Space permit for proposed relocation of curb-cut on 31st Street. The Commission strongly recommends that the R Street curb cut and apron be reduced to 12 feet wide to match width of driveway and be paved in brick to match new curb-cut on 31st Street. Note: Any modification of the approved design during the review by DCRA Technical Review or by DDOT must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of the permit or public space permit.

No objection to concept design for proposed alterations to rear yard, including new wood fence, walkway, paving and landscaping, and for new brick garden walls with wood gate and paving of parallel parking pad at alley as shown in supplemental drawings dated 25 November 2013. Recommend wood gate be no taller than brick walls and pavers be red to match the color of the brick alley. File new submission at DCRA of working drawings, including details and dimensions, with permit application for review by the Commission.

Returned without Action. Permit application for alterations to front yard, including additional paving, raised brick planter, and metal picket fence, was withdrawn at the written request of applicant.

No objection to issuance of public space permit for new concrete covers for expanded Comcast vaults in sidewalks provided that covers are painted dark grey to match the color of meters or of the granite curb (rather than white), that covers are kept in the utility zone at the edge of the sidewalk, that edge of covers abut the curb and that corners have small radii. Note: Any modification of the approved design during the review by DDOT must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of the public space permit.
