No objection to the final design for signs on the University of the District of Columbia Student Center (currently under construction) as shown in materials received and dated 1 May 2015. The proposed sign design conforms with previously approved building design (see case number CFA 17/JAN/13-l).

No objection to the final design for the building renovation, additions, and site improvements for the Van Ness Elementary School, as shown in materials received and dated 8 May 2015. Design conforms to previously approved concept design. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the final plans for the second-phase addition (Building D) to Powell Elementary School, as shown in materials received and dated 20 June 2014. Design conforms to previously approved concept and final approval for the first phase of the project. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the final design for a new accessibility ramp, entrance canopy, and modifications to the entrance lobby, as shown in materials received and dated 5 May 2015.

No objection to the final designs for building signs, banners, and public art at the new Brookland Middle School, as shown in materials received and dated 7 May 2015. Designs conform to the approved plans for the replacement school building (see case number CFA 15/MAY/14-j).

No objection to the proposed installation of temporary modular classrooms at Lafayette Elementary School to provide swing space during the construction of the new school building, as shown in materials received and dated 7 May 2015. (See case number CFA 20/NOV/14-9 for the review of the replacement school building.) Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to issuance of permit application to disassemble deteriorated brick wall, salvage brick, erect temporary chain link fence as necessary, and reuse brick in new wall with piers to match existing as documented in drawings received 17 April 2015, PROVIDED any necessary new brick matches existing brick in size, color, and texture. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit.
