The existing crosswalk adjacent to the vehicular entrance to the cemetery's public parking facility at the Welcome Center will be be decommissioned and the western security checkpoint will be relocated further to the west to avoid vehicle-pedestrian conflicts. The revised design narrows the side overhangs of the canopies by approximately 2 feet in order to preserve and not impact the adjacent hedges that line both sides of Memorial Drive. No objection to the final designs for installing flood barriers at the southern 9th and 10th Streets garage entrances to the Robert F. Kennedy Department of Justice Building, as shown in materials received and dated 5 May 2020. These two ramped garage entrances are no longer used as points of entry, but are sources of frequent flood water intrusion.
