Recommend AGAINST the issuance of a permit for the installation of four replacement windows, as shown in materials received and dated 5 January 2018, due to insufficient information for review. Permit application has been inactive for an extended period of time awaiting supplemental materials. Forward a new and completely documented submission, including manufacturer's information on the proposed windows, details of the proposed and existing windows, and documentation of which windows are to be replaced, when ready.

Returned without action. Permit submission for the installation of two cellular panel antennas and associated equipment for Verizon Wireless, as shown in materials received and dated 6 April 2018, was withdrawn at the written request of the building owner.

Recommend AGAINST the issuance of a permit for the construction of a circular driveway in public space, as shown in materials received and dated 4 May 2018. Recommend the construction of a turn around space in lieu of a circular driveway, to reduce the amount of added paving in public space. Forward a new submission when ready. No objection to the issuance of a permit for the renovation of an existing rooftop swimming pool and pool deck surface, as shown in materials received and dated 4 May 2018. No objection to the issuance of a permit for the installation of a new 16" diameter gooseneck boiler flue at an existing low roof, associated with a new heating plant interior to the building, as shown in materials received and dated 4 May 2018 and supplemental materials received and dated 8 May 2018, PROVIDED that the color of the flue match the color of the planters behind it. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval.

No objection to the concept for the application of a replacement coating to the facades of an existing building, as shown in materials received and dated 4 May 2018, PROVIDED that an on-site color mockup be prepared for review by CFA and HPO staff as part of the permit submission. Staff notes with regret that the existing coating was applied without CFA review. Please coordinate with staff for the mockup requirements. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office. Recommend AGAINST the concept for a seasonal rooftop tent on an existing office building, as shown in materials received and dated 4 May 2018. Submitted tent design is identical to previously disapproved tent design (SL 18-062) and again does not conform with previously approved tent design (SL 16-123). Forward a new submission that conforms with previously approved tent design when ready.

Recommend AGAINST the issuance of a permit for the installation of rooftop tent(s) on the west-facing roof of an existing building, as shown in materials received and dated 4 May 2018. Existing rooftop tent(s) on the west-facing roof to be removed immediately. No objection to the issuance of a permit for the installation of a 40' x 95' temporary rooftop tent on the south-facing roof and an associated 10' x 130' temporary covered passageway on the south- and east-facing roofs, to be be installed only between 5 July 2018 and 31 December 2018, as shown in materials received and dated 4 May 2018. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval.
