No objection to the final design for the proposed perimeter security barriers, north screening pavilion, and streetscapes for the Department of State headquarters in the Harry S Truman Building, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2016. No objection to the concept design for the proposed Pentagon Support Operations Center on the Pentagon reservation in the North Village, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2016.

No objection to the final design for proposed signs and awnings for the new Trump International Hotel and its retail tenants at the Old Post Office Building, as shown in supplemental materials received and dated 13 July 2016. No objection to the concept design for tenant signs and banners to replace the existing restaurant signs at the Hotel Monaco (General Post Office/Tariff Commission Building), as shown in materials received and dated 6 July 2016, provided that the signs mounted on the fence and in the arch of the carriage entryway are not internally illuminated and that the sign on the courtyard pavilion addition has only halo-illuminated lettering. No objection to the final plans for retail signs, guard booths, knee wall replacement, and structural concrete reinforcements at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau headquarters building, as shown in supplemental materials received and dated 13 July 2016. No objection to the brick selected for the replacement knee walls (as shown in photograph of the material sample wall), but recommend that the mortar joints match the dimensional width and color of the building's existing brick walls. No objection to the proposed installation of temporary artworks along the Anacostia River Trail in the Good Hope Road I-295 underpass, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2016. This project was submitted by the D.C. Department of Transportation in cooperation with the Building Bridges Across the River at THEARC (as part of the 11th Street Bridge Park Project) and the DC Commission of Art and Humanities.

No objection to the concept designs for the proposed modifications to vent shafts for flood protection at the Cleveland Park, Capitol South, and Shaw-Howard University Metrorail Stations, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2016. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the concept design for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) compliant floodwater modifications to DC Water Main Sewerage Pumping Station. These modifications include: sealing exterior drains, conduits, and wall penetrations; installation of exterior doorway protections and inflatable dam structures; protection of exterior equipment, ventilation ducts, and louvers; and parging of ventilation shafts and stairways, as shown in materials received and dated 7 June 2016. No objection to the concept design for the Ward 7 Short-term Family Housing in a new four-story residential building located at 5004 D Street, SE, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2016.

No objection to the concept design for the Ward 8 Short-term Family Housing in a new six-story residential building located in the 4200 block of 6th Street, SE, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2016.

No objection to issuance of permit for proposed skylight, two matching dormers with hipped roofs and mechanical louvers, and the replacement of the metal doors at building entrances with solid wood paneled doors per drawings received 23 June 2016 which indicate dormers clad in sheet metal and set back from the east wall of the building. File new submission of working drawings for mechanical vault, including dimensions and details of surface grate, with permit application for review by the Commission. Refer to the Historic Preservation Review Board. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval prior to the issuance of a permit. No objection to the final design for site modifications along S Street as first phase of a modernization project for Garrison Elementary School, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2016. The first phase of the project includes a new main entry stair, accessible walks, seating areas, bio-retention areas, and new plantings. It is understood that the second phase of the school modernization project will be submitted later this year.

No objection to the final design for the temporary installation of a fenced playground at MacFarland Middle School, as shown in materials received and dated 13 July 2016. A portion of the MacFarland School will serve as a temporary space for Marie Reed Learning Center, while the Center is undergoing rehabilitation. It is understood that the temporary playground will be removed and the MacFarland School grounds restored to good condition once the Marie Reed Learning Center project is completed.
